CROWNED WITH JOY
CAN HELP YOU
THE MISSION OF CROWNED WITH JOY
Adultery. Shock. Disbelief. Divorce. This can't be real. This can't be my life. It wasn't supposed to be this way.
You aren't alone. The betrayal trauma, grief, and loss you are experiencing are overwhelming.
I have felt it too.
You may be wondering:
Will I even survive this?
Is there anyone I can trust?
Will I ever be ok?
The answer to all of those questions is YES! No matter how you feel in this valley today, the truth is:
You can flourish!
You can learn to trust your gut (the promptings of the Holy Spirit)!
You can experience authentic joy again!
The mission of Crowned With Joy is to restore women's shattered souls after sexual betrayal and divorce so they can live abundant lives with authentic joy.
Spiritually, I believe betrayal trauma and Complex PTSD shatters a person's soul, which is where our identity resides. Once a soul is restored, true identity can be restored. When that happens, the shattered one is transported from a captive victim to a free and flourishing overcomer who is empowered for joy-filled Kingdom living.
My passion for the Crowned With Joy blog is to be a safe space for you to encounter God's love and truth so your shattered soul can be made whole again!
WHO AM I?
Welcome! I'm Sandi Joy, and I am so glad you're here!
I am a Christian woman who was shattered by betrayal trauma, also called Sexual Addiction-Induced Trauma (SAIT). I've spent the past five years pursuing wholeness with intentionality so my own shattered soul could be restored. My hope is that as I share what the Lord has revealed to me along the way, it will lead you to freedom so you can move from a rejected and hopeless captive to a free and joy-filled overcomer in Christ!
I pray that even if you were further traumatized by spiritual abuse after seeking help from unskilled people-helpers in the church, you will find this site to be an uplifting and safe place to encounter God's love.
In 2017, I received a BA in Applied Behavioral Science. I am also a Certified Life Coach and received training in domestic violence in the church. I will complete my training with APSATS (The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists) in January 2021.
WHY DO YOU REFER TO SERIAL ADULTERY AND SEX ADDICTION AS DOMESTIC ABUSE?
Serial adultery and sex addiction required your husband to repeatedly:
lie to you
cause you to question your accurate perceptions
cause you to question your reality or even create a false reality in order to make sense of his lies and manipulation
put your health at risk
expose you to Sexually Transmitted Infections without your knowledge
hide financial expenditures from you
withhold affection, time and resources from you and your family
cause you confusion from his "Jekyll and Hyde" behaviors
oppress you, and much more . . .
This is not a description of a difficult marriage; this is a description of domestic abuse, even if your ex-husband had never hit you. For that reason, I call it what it is.
DO YOU OFFER PERSONAL COACHING?
